The scoop

Well, the first Battlefront was a fun game, I suppose, but a sequel that quickly? This rather reminds me of Jedi Academy which, although was a neat game, felt more like an expansion than an entire new game. Very curious to see what the result will be.
The answer is maybe.

Bah.. it's only an excuse to include some Episode III content. Makes you wonder why they didn't just release the first game after Episode III.

Ohh, that's right... because it'll make less money that way.

It sounds promising, if they can pull it off. I just hope they give it a better interface and netcode than the first game; it was damn near impossible to play it online.
Moo.

I hope that they don't do what Raven did. I hope they care about improving gameplay and such in their second game.

I guess this explains the sudden disappearance of the BF team. They were supposed to release a patch for the PC version to allow voice chat (Something which would help it immensely!!), but they disappeared after the 1.2 patch.

Not only do many people have problems with the game after patch 1.2, but no one from LEC responds anymore. I guess this explains it...

Instead of trying to make the game playable, they go and work on a sequel.

*sighs*

They damn well better make it have bots that actually have an IQ greater then a 2 year old. And they better release it for PC!!! But if not, I wouldn't be surprised. With all the problems it gave PC users, who knows if they want to do a new one with so many CPU configs. And the proof is at LEC's support forum for BF. Everyday, people post problems - very rarely anyone is answered.

I know games have bugs and people have problems. Before - when the BF team was active - they would respond and help people. Eventually the just stopped and I guess this is why. That's what makes me mad!

I assume it will be released for PC as well, seeing as PC Gamer is the first magazine to announce it

I feel sorry for my sister for buying me the BF for christmas because this game wasn't worth 50 bucks. It was fun at first but it lost steam FAST because of the lack of maps and repetitiveness of the gameplay. I'm not sure if a sequal is really necessary given what little depth the first game had. Sounds like they are just out for money, as usual.

Some of the gameplay is going to be objective based as well. One of the levels they showed in PC Gamer was Tantive IV as well as a Death Star level.
