So I went junk yard hopping today, I saw the most whacked out looking ricer sitting in the parking lot of one yard. The thing still had temporary tags (how is beyond me). It was a pretty good color purple, but just said ricer. I couldn't figure out what the hell it was though that I was looking at, and saw the tires had the Mitsubishi logo on them so I thought "What kind of Mitsubishi is that?". Upon looking at the front I saw the Toyota decal, and no head lights. The owner came walking out and I said "Nice car" and he said "Thanks. Want to buy it?"

He was serious too when he offered. One of the employees came out with a computer and they were checking it out. I went into the yard then came back out, and then they had a Geo Metro sitting in front of it trying to jump it or something. I walked past it again and saw the interior and it said Solara on the passenger side dash. I double checked it and sure enough, the body was that of a Toyota Solara. Apparently this guy took a Toyota Solara body kit and put it on his Eclipse. I got in my car and bursted out laughing, cause he spent all that money, and it couldn't even go.

wait, it was a solara with an eclipse body kit or eclipse with a solora body kit?

It was an Eclipse with a Solara body kit. I couldn't figure out why the Mitsubishi looked so weird until I realized what had happened to it. I had not seen the new 2005 Solaras.

... Why in the name of God would anyone....

I just decided I don't want to know.

You'd be surprised what I've seen. Just tonight I saw a Dodge Neon painted with stripes like a Viper. I see them all the time, usually 2 or 3 a day. The one I saw at the junkyard though has to be the most whacked out what though (as the subject said). I saw a picture of a guy who took his Civic and tried to make it look like an Audi, and a Dodge Neon painted to look like a Viper, complete with the Viper being painted on the hood.
