that shine on the rusty metal looks bad. assuming it is metal. if it isn't, it shouldn't be shining... it looks too plasticy... but yes, they look tight.

Start forcing yourself to associate that "plastic" look with metal as it's the way all high end engines are going. After a while, it WILL be metal for you. If you think the flesh looks "plastic," go check out a mirror; you're probably just as shiny if not more so.

Doom 3 looks WAY awesomer than HL2 in my opinion, and I own both. You just have to get over the whole plastic coating thing.

Cripes! Lose the freaking bloom! THERE IS NO BLOOM IN REAL LIFE!

Except when it just rained and you're driving down the road into the sun and it's reflecting off the asphalt. Or when you're really really tired. But these games are really annoying me by putting bloom on every single visible surface.

Nice, though.

Actually, the 6800 is the FIRST card that ran it fine.

BARELY. And if I remember correctly, they had to use SLI to get decent framerates.

Besides that, for all you people ready to throw your cards out, remember this fact:

Most all game makers program their games for the hardware that will be available upon RELEASE, not in development. By the time this game comes out, there will be at least a Geforce 7000 or maybe 8000, which should certainly run the game fine. (Along with a similar ATI card)

Plus, this sucker isn't even coming out this year, so hardware has plenty of time to catch up to software.

Unreal 3 engine, yes.
Not an official engine for any Unreal game yet though.

Wowsers. That is beauty.

Did anyone see the changes to the Onslaught mode? They are replacing the Scorpion's green laser tag with rockets! The tag was awesome in taking down mantas and hitting targets with a spread field of aim. OMG.

No...It ran it just fine. And that was non-SLI, hell it was before SLI was a glimmer in a programmer's eye (the current version, not the voodoo version).
