Okay, so here I am a day before the deadline and I still dont know where I want to go.
My two top choices right now are RIT and Northeastern.
I like RIT because it has a good Computer Animation department and it overall looks like a nice school.
Norteastern I like because it has a decent department, and its in Boston.

but.. now im wondering if I should go to SVA [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] im so confused

I'm not doing 3D Animation anymore, but if I was, that'd be my first choice.

I made a major basis of my selection on good dorms, since it's somewhere you may live for the next 4 years or so.

Of course those good dorms also cost $6k+ a year.

RIT's dorms run on the small side, but they are by far the cleanest and best maintained dorms I've seen (although I've never been to Northeastern so I cant really compare).

If you are unsure, then you should seriously consider going to a cheaper school until you know exactly what you want to do. I cannot stress that enough... its what I wish I had done.

I picked Cal because it had the program I wanted and it's a really, really good school. Don't make your decisoon solely on the dorms as thet's a very small part of the equation. Liking your classes, professors and department should be at the top of the list.

I don't think anyone's telling him to solely base his decision on that.

It's just a good tie breaker when everything else seems pretty much equal.

It all comes down to how much you want to pay back in loans in 4-5 years.

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

talk to as many people as you can from both schools, and see what they have to say, student input is huge IMO.

There was something on the sheet to sign up for that which mentioned something about it.
I think it was the purple sheet.

I think some of them do require monthly dues, for activities and such. I was never in a special interest house though, so I wouldnt know for sure. It might just be the Art House.

Isn't RIT the Stanford of computer schools?

The frats and sororities for the most part arent your traditional frats and sororities. They actually are based on community service and school work. You dont really see them hosting wild parties and getting wasted every weekend night.

RIT in generally really isnt a party school anyways, but thats fine with me.

Yeah, RIT is one of the most prestigious computer schools in the world. If I remember correctly, they were either the first school to offer either a CS or an IT degree, or maybe both.
