I was completely hooked for almost two years. I'd spend all my free time on the game. I had the best of characters.

Then, one day, I just had a flash, and I thought; "hey, what the hell am I doing?" I uninstalled the game and haven't touched it since.
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

That painting was a gift, Todd. I'm taking it with me.

I'm an on and off D2 player. My roommate and I started it up again the other day. I have a level 10 paladin now, hardcore, on the US East ladder. It may be a point and click system, but it's good fun.

I don't play as often as I used to, but my account name is Paladin_Aaron, if anybody wants to look me up.

Love that game! But my computer suddenly won't run any games except Neverhood, so I uninstalled everything. I don't know why I did that to Diablo 2. I had great characters on there. :(

I used to play LOD a lot on USEast, a lot lot lot, but they screwed it up by disabling maphack and slowing down level ups. I had a perfect amazon, with buriza and titan's revenge, switch as the situation asked... but yeah. Done now.

I used to LOD so much, but then like Flexor said,
I had a flash and went "wtf?"
I uninstalled it and never looked back.
That is probably my second serious addiction, next to EQ of course.

In highschool I played 2 solid years of D2 and LOD. Honestly, I don't regret it. I'm at a good college and I didn't exactly miss anything in my hometown playing it so much. People there were absolute *****.

Now, if I was at my Uni. when I was playing, I'd probably shoot myself when looking back at it.

Edit: Ok, apparently that other word for 'wang' beginning with a d is not censored. Am I allowed to use that here?

It's a pretty bad game. I was addicted to it for a long time, then I realized: All I'm doing is leveling up as much as I can so that I can get more stuff to trade for more stuff to trade for more stuff. At what point is my character complete, and at that point, what is there to do? Nothing. There's no RPG, there's no originality, there's no real customization. In general, it's a vertual barbie-game. You buy and trade accessories for your barbie doll.

But hell, I picked it up on friday of last week, and by monday, had a level 49. A pretty easy game, if you know how to play. I also think it's a good time muncher, and that's why it's fun. The sense of accomplishment you get out of leveling up is great, but then you want to do it again, and again, oh, and again! There's nothing else to do.

I played it for an hour five years ago.

I fail to see how it's more of a waste of time than any other computer game..it's not like they teach valuable life skills or anything. :p

Heck, it's cheaper than EQ or WOW... ;)
