I am getting certain word highlighted on certain sites. I would think that it was normal advertising if it wern't for the fact that in an article about the illegality of sony playstaion modchips, the word modchip in the article's headline linked to a site that sold modchips.

does anyone know what could be causing this as sometimes words are highlighted and sometimes they aren't and it is starting to tick me off.

Yeah, I have heard of some junk that will highlight words and link them to searches or something along those lines.

I suggest you run Ad-Aware, or if you don't have it, d/l it soon.

updating the adaware database now as I have mostly been using spybot for a while. I am goin to use adaware to see how much crap that I have that spybot has never seen.

It's been my experience that that's simply something the site itself does. Does this happen with every site you go to that mentions modchips?
