I think the Google Gulp thing was already posted somewhere. As for the error, that's obvious. The error is that you're using Spybot S+D, which is a crap program.:p

What's the best anti spamware or virus detection and removal program that's a freeware?

Personally, I prefer Ad-aware. Spybot has just given me too many problems.

I use them both. I even used Spy Sweeper to scan my PC (IT DOES IT IN LIKE 5 SECONDS!! AWESOME!) But it doesn't fix anything. I ran spy sweeper, it tells me I have a trojan and 13 spyware. I run Norton Anti-Virus, it finds nothing, I run spybot and ad-aware they find all 13 things.. I delete them..run spy sweeper again..it now says I have 15 spyware and still a trojan..WTFSUXOMG.

I've said this before elsewhere, but the error is IE is your browser :p

That's the thing. I don't use IE, I haven't for about two years. I use Firedfox, so that's why I'm so confused.

My roommate is having the same problem. He's even using firefox, SB S&D, and Ad-Aware. He's got WinXP (not that that would effect anything). I told him to use the anti-virus programs together, he scans almost everyday and even after he deletes what they've found, he scans again and finds more things.

My anti-vir runs once a week, and I run my spyware stuff whenever I need it. I've got Zone Alarm as my firewall, and then there's Norton's Internet Security (which I leave disabled most the time because it's just a pain) plus regular Norton doing it's constant watch. I almost never have problems.

What do you guys do with your computers? When I ran Windows I didn't have a firewall nor did I have a virus-scanner constantly running. But I never ever had a virus or spy/adware.
When I think I have too much CPU-power I run seti or something like that but not a super-shiney firewall with a big red "Stop teh Intarnet!!!!111"-button that protects my computer as much as sticking a banana in you ear prevents you from being robbed.
