depression...

Ok, so I'm like... really depressed right now.

Mostly I miss my girlfriend. I saw her last weekend, but the whole 300 miles away thing is insanely infuriating (most of you will know what I'm talking about. If not, someone else can explain it. I'm not in the mood). I know I've got about 2 years before things will be right with us (ie, she'll be back here in Spokane, and we'll be able to see each other every day). Plus it's hard on me just knowing that it's equally hard on her. Plus my life in general is just boring and irritating. My best friend is in Canada for school and won't be back until this summer (and then he's going back in the fall). I miss him a lot. We used to hang out every day, and watch movies and lift weights and play racquetball and eat fast food and play ping pong and stuff.. My other best friend is in Massachussets for school, and she won't be back until summer either. And I don't miss her quite as much, but it still sucks. My other friend is in town, but he's getting married in June, so he doesn't have much time to hang out with me, not like we used to, which is ok, but leaves me with nothing else to do.

On top of that, my job is if not boring, repetitive, and my dad yells at me all the time, which pisses me off, especially since I'm paying him rent, and as long as the check comes in, he should leave me alone. But he doesn't. Other than that, things are pretty much ok, but it's just that day after day, it's all the same. The highlights are talking to my girlfriend on the phone or webcamming over MSN. But that just makes me wish I was there with her (or that she was here).

[/end rant]

Anyway, cheer me up in the way that only you silly Massassians can.

Holy Crap... You live in Spokane? Where? I used to live there for 5 or 6 years. I thought you were an east coaster. Oh, and when life sucks for me I just close my eyes and think about running naked through a sunny daisy field of butterflies

try it.

Yeah... I live in the valley. Near the Valley Mall. That makes... 3 people on Massassi that live (or in your case) did live in Spokane. The other is Janitor Bob, whom I haven't seen around in a while.

And yeah, running through daisies naked... Fun. Except that I can't really do that... Unless maybe I ingest some shrooms. :p

I lived in the Valley too. I moved across the mountains and I live in Sumner, basically in Ranier's shadow. Gosh I miss the crazy weather we used to get in spokane, Like wicked big hail storms, snowy ice storms, and once a tornado touched down nearby. Over here it just drizzles.:(

...dang you live like.. very near to my girlfriend. Can I move in? :p

As cool as it is to find a nearby Massassian that's almost more depressing now. :(

I'm at a pretty low point, too. I don't know if what I'm feeling right now is depression, but it sucks. I can't trust people. Ever since I can remember, I've always been quiet and withdrawn, afraid to expose my emotions to others. It's almost a paranoia, I'm scared that if I let people know what I'm really feeling, I'll be rejected, ridiculed, or just simply abandoned. Now, I've been able to survive most of my years in high school because I can't stand most of my classmates to begin with, but now...there's someone I want to get to know, who I want to open up to, but it feels like I'm being smothered, my sickeningly misanthropic tendencies overruling my desire to pursue a meaningful relationship. I know, most of you probably don't give a **** about me, or what you most likely consider to be a mere product of dissatisfaction and adolescent angst, but I don't care. I had to write this out somewhere, and Massassi seemed to be the most convenient place.

About what does he yell at you? Try talking it through with him.

As for the rest...well, sometimes, life gives you ****. And all you can do is make ****ade. Sounds like something of a tough time right now, but summer will come around, and you and your friend-in-Canada can go visit your girlfriend to your heart's delight (or without friend-in-Canada if you so wish ;)).

So...yeah. Talk things through with your dad. Keep your eyes toward the ever-approaching summer. And get ready for your friend's bachelor party. :cool:

I know exactly how you feel. Trust is not something that comes easily in such a situation.

Fear of rejection is nothing new or unique to any individual. My suggestion is this: determine whether or not you would want to hang out with her. Do you enjoy the company she keeps? Do you have at least some number of activities you both enjoy doing? If both of those questions are "yes," then ask her. Nothing bad will happen - at the worst, she'll say "no," and life will go on.

I just tried the field thing too, it's more fun when you imagine it with your friends. And then all in slow motion, and crashing into each other and rolling down the hill.... :)

Try eating chocolate spread the back of your hand, that's fun. ish.

I'd rather not think about you running naked through a sunny daisy field of butterflies.

Wolfy, as far as talking to my dad, been there, done that, doesn't work.

It's kinda like he's a force of nature. Like a hurricane. Sometimes there's no hurricane problems, but when there is, you can't "talk to it" My dad has mood swings. And if he's in a bad mood already, then I'm going to hear about it, and nothing I do makes it better, except just to let him blow off steam.

Anyway, that's just a minor irritant compared to the other things. I've learned to live with that. And I'm feeling a bit better this morning... afternoon... whatever. I just wish Megan could be here, but meh. That's life. I miss her a lot though.

I wont see my gf for a week and missing her already, my god can i admit that? Dogsdrool trust its better to be single than to have someone far away you miss.

Sarn what you have is not depression, but a simple matter of a certain period in your life where things generally suck ballsack. You're in rutt, which will pass.

eat chocolate
Watch pr0n
listen to your favourite music
Watch your dvd collection

time will pass.
Code:
if(getThingFlags(source) & 0x8){
  do her}
elseif(getThingFlags(source) & 0x4){
  do other babe}
else{
  do a dude}
