You could just load it on the machine you have now...

What, you don't have windows on it? That's gotta suck.

Yeah, it does. I did the same thing i had to do with dark forces. I had to run the compatibility application for installing older software on a newer OS, ad it works fine for both games.

1. Download the Application Compatibility Toolkit 2.0 for Windows XP from here:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/downloads/appkitxp.mspx

2. Install it

3. Run QFixApp

4. Click Browse and choose the path to TIE95.EXE

5. In "Layers" tab, click on Win95

6. In "Fixes" tab, DISABLE "EmulateJoystick"

7. Click on "Run" to run TIE Fighter 95 and it should work now

8. Press on "Advanced" button

9. Press "Create Fix Support" Button

10. Confirm the message

11. You can now run TIE95.EXE without the use of QFixapp.

Thank you Cazor. I will try that today.

I have the DOS / floppy version, not the Windows 95/98 version... is this okey?

TIE95.EXE is worrying me... oh well, the Windows version is only $10...
