Thread about Canadian Geese and other animals.

Canadian geese wouldn't become much of a problem if they didn't get in the way. Actually, the biggest concern of these birds is not the birds themselves but what they leave behind. Time to time, these birds group together and hang around fields, parks and other grassy public places. During their stay, they just eat, sleep and crap. Their turds often litter the nice outdoor places in my town. It's no fun to run on a track when the path is spotted with droppings. And it's annoying to play on a field when numerous pieces of bird waste are hidden under the green grass. The stuff sometimes get on shoes and clothes. Not only that, the pieces that fell on pavement just does not go away. Ugh.

Blast these Canadian birds. Their population continues to grow steadily, and my town isn't doing much about this issue. They are not beautiful creatures, and they are becoming less afraid of human interaction. And, few people are actually feeding them. Personnally, I don't know any real solution to handle this matter...so the time being I'll remain annoyed.

Any other animals annoy you?

Hate to be overly picky, but it is in fact Canada Goose, Branta Canadensis.

But i tend to agree. At certain times of the year [currently in fact], campus becomes absolutely foul with them. All the grass gets vile with their waste and they set up nests all over like right next to doors and try to kill people who go near their nests [eg out those doors].
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

I love geese!
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

I once was pecked by a rather large goose in a vineyard when i was about 10. I haven't been too much of a fan of them since.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

They aren't a problem where I live, but there are a few places in the Bay Area where they stop over while migrating.

There's nothing like going out for an early morning swim at the cottage, and stepping on the raft, only to find that it's covered in goose crap:mad:

Does anyone else get an urge to just run up to one, grab it and punt it as hard as you can?
I do. All the time.

Anyone?

If I did that in a public place, I think I would be fined.

Often I find myself confronting wild animals.
Sneaky sneaks. I'm actually a werewolf. Woof.

I dunno. If I went up to someone's dog in the park and kicked it, I would get in trouble. I might get in some trouble if I deliberately harmed a goose in that same park. Most likely there is some law that protects wildlife. Or some animal rights activist group.

I despise pigeons most of all. They're nothing but rats with wings. Stupid garbage eaters. And I don't think I've met a lazier bird. You can seriously chase them all over the place, and they won't fly off until your just about to get them. No, they just run around on their stubby little legs because they're too freaking lazy to fly.
Life is beautiful.
