I know most people have probably read the X-Wing series, most of which were written by him. Has anyone read any of his other books?

My favorites are the DragonCrown War Cycle and it's prequel. If you're going to read them, I suggest this order:
Fortress Draconis
When Dragons Rage
The Dark Glory War (prequel)
The Grand Crusade

I suggest it this way because (as far as I know) that's the order he wrote them in, and if you read the prequel before the first two books, you will know too much, but if you don't read it before The Grand Crusade, you'll be lost in a few places.

Stackpole is my favorite writer, namely for the Battletech stuff he's done

The Warrior Trilogy:
En Garde
Riposite
Coup

and the Blood of Kerensky Trilogy
Lethal Heritage
Blood Legacy
Lost Destiney

both series I have First Edition copies (yay)

He's done some other Battltech books, but those are his most famous of the Battletech Series
Holy soap opera Batman. - FGR
DARWIN WILL PREVENT THE DOWNFALL OF OUR RACE. - Rob
Free Jin!

I liked the X-Wing and NJO novels he wrote. I also highly appreciate I, Jedi.

I, Jedi was awesome!
That painting was a gift, Todd. I'm taking it with me.

Wow, I guess I'm alone in not liking Stackpole. It's why I never could get into the X-Wing series until Alliston wrote some books.

Stackpole is probably my all-time favorite writer, and Corran Horn my favorite Star Wars character. I,Jedi was simply an amazing book, and I've probably read the X-Wing series at least five times.

Yes, I, Jedi was awesome. I'm going to read it again as soon as I finish The Last Command. Has anyone read the DragonCrown War Cycle other than me?

I never made it through I, Jedi.

I didn't like it...

...

Then again, I'm not much of a reader... at all.

Just re-read I Jedi for the fourth time and I really enjoyed. I also really like the Corran Horn character.

Although I really like the SW Books he has written, I've always found that he tends to write his character(ie. Corran Horn) as a wee bit too perfect. In the X-Wing series, he's practically the center o' attention. Of course, nothing wrong with that, every series does tend to have its main character, but Horn rarely did anything wrong. Women fawned over him, upon immediately meeting someone he barely knows or likes, he vows to them on how he'll see through his own mistakes and become a better person, bla-bla-bla... and "I, Jedi" took it all to a new level.

Which is why I really did rather like how in Allston's "Wraith Squadron", each book showcased one of the pilots, instead of really having one main character. It was a bloody surprise for me when Kell Tainer became a background character in the second book.
The answer is maybe.

You're right. But what was cool about the DragonCrown series was that, while the main characters did seem to be almost infallible, the villain had an enormous amount of power at her fingertips, which always devastated the heroes. It was cool to see the strategies he came up with for his band of mismatched warriors to come through against an unstoppable power.
