Ya, so last saturday i woke up @ 5:30 AM to get in line at target so i could get my target exclusive darth vader action figure. The figure costed me 10.00 and when i went home i looked the price up on ebay and he's selling for 150.00! I was very happy i obtained one as they are only making 50,000 which is a low number. I also picked up every available jedi that was out and i was able to collect all of them. Do you guys enjoy collecting action figures/ star wars memorabilia?

I used to be into collecting them when I was younger. A local antique store has a really good selection of them. They have misc REALLY old stuff, which is probably worth alot, and they also have a ton of the ones still in the packages, the ones with like the green background, orange background. those ones.

ya unfortunately i was younger when those came out and i unpackaged and played with them, now i just put them on display, it's too bad really some of the ones that i have are worth 200+ if they were still packaged

Actually 50,000 is a very high number in SW figure terms. If all exclusives were around 50,000 they wouldn't nearly get the hype they do now.

Even though it was going for $150, it won't ever do that again unless like...40,000 become lost or destroyed. In a few months, they'll be lucky to get $30.


I've been collecting the figures strong since '95. It was fun a couple days ago, I went to the midnight madness stuff and got quite a bit. I would've done the Target thing, but I was way too tired to go to Target even before the buttcrack of dawn. I heard later from a fellow collector at Wal-Mart that he drove by around 5 am and they were already lining up. And Target opens at 8!!!

2 days ago I bouth anakin and yoda.
Yesterday I bouht 3PO, Chewie, Super battle droid, Grievous's Bodyguard, Emperor Palpatine, and Obi-wan: Lava scene version.
TOday, I went up on ebay and bought General Grievous with the 4 lightsabers on Ebay, the "one is shipped per package/box with this version". And either of grievous 2 versions at any stores I go to I can't find.. Anyway, 8.50 with shipping included, good deal, I'm glad it didn't cost me like 15 bucks.
I bought all the others in the store for 5-6 bucks apiece.

I might go buy more :).

I didn't buy all the jedis though... so many that no one seems to care about. Al of th alien ones... theres like 5 of them yhat we've all barely seen. but a smal lscene or two in AOTC.

Scary thing is, I'm not even that much of a SW nerd...

A Guy at target I went to told me he closed the previous night, and opened that morning, and he saw guys lining up at 2 AM camping out.

The only ones I'm really trying to collect are the unleashed series. Those things are just awesome. Tonight I finally got my hands on the Darth Vader one.

I just want the darth tater.

I don't collect figures (well, I've got a Scarface one and a couple from Kill Bill), but I collect statues and busts. I've only got two Star Wars ones, a Stomtrooper and X-Wing Luke (both limited to 10,000). I hope to get the fifteen inch Vader Gentle Giant statue that comes out next month, always been a big Vader fan.
