So I walk into my bathroom, and I see this little black spot on the collar of my shirt. I look a little closer and I can see legs on the little bugger and I frantically brush it off. Scared that it might still be on my shirt I rip it off and throw it down on the floor. At this current moment it is still on my floor. And I'm asking myself, how long is the lifespan of a tick?

At least a couple of weeks, maybe more. They sometimes take a couple of days just to attach themselves and start drawing blood.

Err..why don't you just kill it? Its lifespan is as short as you want it to be.

Because at the end of it all it's still taking a life, no matter how simple, and remember, when judgement day comes, that little tick will rise up and say that he was killed. Be warned. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

Have you ever poked a tick? Just sat there for hours, poking and laughing...

I splatted a tick once and blood went everywhere. It was gross.

I wasn't sure where he wound up after I brushed him. Oh well, I guess I'll find him tomorrow morning when I brush my teeth...

A tick can lay dormant, under right conditions, for several years.

Genesis 22:2-5 - And God said unto Abraham "You must kill your son, Isaac." And Abraham said "What? I can't hear you! You'll have to speak into the microphone." And God said "Check, check, check, check. Jerry, can you pull the high end out. I'm getting some hiss up here."
