ChaOS? No wait, that's probably not what you want your OS to be...

KronOS?

SOS (the first 's' is for uh... snifty. Yeah.)

OS Zero (or OSZ, cuz the Z and zero are cooool)

Seriously, the GBK ones are probably your best bet, unless you can use some other name that shows a primary difference between your OS and others.

NaMOS is very good. I would go with that.

however, COD-OS (Crash ON Demand Operating System) is good too. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

I take it that you os is going to be very similar to linux.

A good idea would be full support for windows apps as well as native aps so we can run them without stuff like wine.

Pretty much any base ten number prefix would work:

FemtOS
NanOS (oh yah, that's already been said)
MicrOS (maybe a bit evocative of a certain software company...)
MilliOS
KilOS
etc...

or, you could do something else, like:

CheeriOS
PathOS
LinuxOS
3DOS (make it a 3D GUI, and this would fit really well)

or, you could call it "Windex" (Windows + Linux + Windex)

The advantage is is that you can 'borrow' movies for long amounts of time without him remembering that you borrowed them.

The disadvantage is the pizza cheese grime on the DVDs
