Just got my new car today... (pics inside)

Met my father half way to East Texas earlier this evening to grab my new Mustang. It's a used '04 Silver V6 Mustang, one previous owner with 25k miles on it. Automatic, with the 40th Year Anniversary package, which includes the premium rims. This thing is in perfect condition as if it was just bought new. Except the total cost on it for me was just $13,400 total. I didn't think I'd like silver as a color, but this silver is different than others I've seen, I love it so much.

I was gonna wait till after I washed it tommorrow morning to post pics, but I'd thought I'd at least leave one up tonight. Pictures are hard to take at night with out getting a blur, so I had to lay the camera on the sidewalk to get a blurless one, so the angle's a little wierd, but you get the idea.

[EDIT] New pics up.

First custom rims I've seen that I don't hate. Actually, they're quite nice. Nice car.

I just would rather have a $6,000 civic w/ $5,000 upgrades than a $14,000 'stang

meh, good for you:p

Looks cool, even though it's just the v6 model, you would be kicking yourself for years if you dropped 16 grand on a freaking hyundai!
2005-04-09, 1:05 AM #14
Not really, seeing as Hyundai is ranked #4 in terms of reliability. :p

If I ever physically saw someone pay for some ****ty looking car like that, I'd have to stab them in the face with a soldering iron.

Nice stang. Keep on keepin on without the rice.

nope.

The rims look better close up than at a distance... Anyways, silver is the best colour for just about any car. Love silver.

Any Mustang that didn't come out of the 60's or 70's is ugly.

Except the new 05's, those look sweet.

Lies. Although I DO like my 'stangs retro-style. Sexiest bunch by far. But the 90's/early 2000s ones are pretty decent...though the fox-bodies look really plain, and lame.

I saw a ricer the other day; they were in a civic with all the usual ricer stuff... a spoiler, custom rims, ground effects... but for some reason instead of having the customary "Type R" sticker, they had actually spray-painted "Type R" on the side. I nearly died laughing.

Being #4 now is good? Anyway, reliability isn't the #1 factor when buying a car for most consumers (haha or else everyone would own a hyundai, eh?).
2005-04-09, 5:56 PM #32
I'm not a mustang guy myself...

I'm a camaro guy! And that's why I own a camaro!

Too bad they've been stopped in production...:( One of the saddest days in the history of automotives was when they stopped...

Now you see mustangs everywhere :(

Pretty damned good considering how bad their cars were in the old days ;) (also, pretty good because they're right on the heels of Subaru, Honda, and Toyota).

I've owned 4 subarus with over 220,000 miles on them when I got rid of them and no major maintenance. HOWEVER, when I went to buy the vehicle I had always wanted, I picked up a Jeep Wrangler. haha, NOT known for their reliability but I bought one anyway.
