Pop-up blocker probably won't stop the problem now. But I got here late and you probably already know that. What were you doing to get such nasty malware? You could have picked it up innocently, but its also likely you picked it up on pornographic websites! Bad boy! I know thats where I always got my hijacking spyware crap

Hijack This! is a good tool, but not as user friendly as Ad-Aware or Spybot S&D. But Hijack This! works in ways the others don't.

Another useful tool for me was CoolWebShredder. It gets rid of forms of the CoolWebSearch hijacker. Could be helpful.


(For the record, I use Firefox. But the question wasn't about what browser he should use, it was to help him fix his situation. Use whatever browser you want.)
