My friend carleen works as a pizza delivery chick. She can wear whatever, piercings are allowed (bonus for me), and she just has to drive around all day in her mustang blaring pantera. OH and she makes about $22.50 an hour including tips. That's the job I want.

I stock groceries at Walmart part-time, which means that I spend most of my time building milk crate castles, booby-trapping managers, and avoiding customers.

I'm also a full-time student, but I only have 2 classes and an internship left for my AS so I better get to looking for one. :/

The closest I've ever had to a job is Stage Crew at school. People would rent the auditorium, I would work, get paid and get class credit. I was planning on getting a job this summer, but I may be going to basic training instead [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

I am a sound engineer for a local church on Sunday morning, and do contracts for other events (concerts, large banquets, radio stations, rallies and assemblies, etc.) in the evenings and on weekends. I am also trying to start a small courier business during daylight, when I am not at school. It's mainly just delivering divorce papers from the law offices to the courthouses, but it pays.

Being a pizza delivery person can be very dangerous. A friend did that for a few months. He delivered pizza to this old ratty house once, and the people inside beat the hell out of him and left him unconcious on the sidewalk. Needless to say, that was the last pizza he delivered. [He didn't die, he quit immediately thereafter]

I seriously don't know how I lived without a job when I was younger. So much more freedom to buy what I want, when I want. Therefore, I highly recommend all those who don't have jobs, to get one.

1) You meet lots of new people, improve your social and other skills.
2) You make cash.
3) It takes up time, and if you enjoy your job and people you work with, it gives you something to do.
4) You make cash. =)

I work at the college bookstore right now. Best freaking job ever (for my situation). Pay is great, can work when I want, however much I want. Don't have to work weekends. Close at 8 pm (Unlike Kroger - damn 24 hour store. Hated working so late). If class is cancelled, I can just goto work, cause it's right on campus. And I can do my homework when not busy (which is a lot). *cheers*

Part-time jobs SUCK *** . Seriously, half the time my boss has me working 5-6 days of the week, and then there's weeks like this, when I'm only scheduled ONE day. At my meager $5.50 an hour, that's only like 30 bucks. Fortunately, I've built up a smallish lawn mowing business over the years, so I'm not completely strapped for cash.

I've worked for the city I live in for 4 years now. I started as a lifeguard, got my WSI and LGI training, and I'll be a full-time manager this summer.

Next school semester I'm hoping that my consultant job with our school technology office will pull through. It's not a glorious job, explaining to people how to use Word and Explorer, but it'll be a stepping stone to student technician, and then hopefully to a job in our school's Human Interaction Lab, where they mod games and model stuff in 3D. One of my friends works there, and he says it's an awesome job to have.
