Mentally ill from watching Amityville...

The Amityville Horror... if you value your life, do not watch this travisty of a film.. they tried to make it good by showing flashes of messed up stuff.. but it failed... this is a horribly over acted, over dramatasized piece of crap. The entire theatre was laughing at it.. no one was taking it seriously.. and they shouldn't of.. it was downright stupid.

It's probably about as bad as all the other classics Hollywood has RAPED in the last couple of years.

Whoever thought of the idea to remake movies needs to be shot (There are exceptions though, like "The Thing", but that wasn't really much of a remake).
Who made you God to say "I'll take your life from you"?

I don't know why you went to see it, horror movies haven't quite met the "good" quota lately.

I've only seen one good horror/suspense movie lately and that was "Saw". I miss the 80's.

Can a horror movie be defined by how disturbingly bad it is?

THe original movie was never a classic. It was probably just as bad as this movie.

Personally, I find it hilarious that, once again, they are saying "BASED ON A TRUE STORY" when the only things true is 1.) The original murders if I remember and 2.) The family moving in and leaving. They left cause they couldn't afford the house, but made up the ghosts.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

I dunno about you, but that house just look really freaking scary.

Compared to what though? I agree it's far from a Halloween or Jaws, but compared to things that have been coming out lately, it's pretty good. I'm still looking forward to the remake of the remake of The Blob. Sure it'll probably be bad, but I'm a fan.

nah, u were right. it ended up bad. lets put it this way, in the final scene of the movie where the little girl is standing in front of the stairs and gets pulled into thefloor everyone burst out laughing. I was annnoyed. I was all amped hoping itd be good, but alas, it was not

the only upside is that i got to see ryan reynolds shirtless and wet...so it wasnt a complete waste

Saw was so very, very cheesy. The idea wasn't too bad, but the acting .. and the cheesiness .. eeeeeghhh
