Question on memory again

Sorry for the kinda double post here, but I've been researching a certain type of memory I want, but haven't been very successful. I hate having to ask pretty much for other people to do the research for me, but I need the following. I'd like to find the cheapest stick of PC2700 1GB RAM possible that is compatible with an ASUS A7N8X-X (or A7N8X) motherboard, which I believe runs a nVidia nForce2 chipset. Preferably under $175 if that's possible. If anyone is able to find this, I'd really appreciate it. As I stated before, I've found what I'm looking for under $100, however the compatiblity is incredibly low, and most of the time not compatible with my motherboard. However after researching, I'm not very sure how to overall tell if what I could possibly purchase would work with my motherboard/chipset or not. Thanks for any help.

Anything at PC2700 speeds (or even PC3200) with 184-pin DIMM pin size will work on your motherboard, guaranteed.

Eh... yea but are you gonna be the one to refund my 100 or so dollars if it doesn't? I mean I looked at one site which specifically said "Does not support AMD and Intel chipsets". I mean, I believe my chipset on this mobo is nVidia but still. Like I want cheap RAM, but I don't want stuff made of rusted paperclips and old Atari parts. I'd honestly like to believe what your saying, but after some of my research, I'm just a bit skeptical. Not to mention after inquriring at some sites, I got e-mail back specifically saying "No this memory will not work on your motherboard."

EDIT: I have gotten e-mails stating that some RAM will not work on any ASUS motherboard because they do not support 128x4, only 64x8. I also found that the A7N8X-X does not support dual channel, but the A7N8X does. Would I be better off getting the A7N8X then?
