Family Guy
2005-04-18, 2:30 PM #1
I got to see the new episode of Family Guy a few minutes ago. They aired it in advance at my school's cinema.

I don't want to ruin anything, but suffice it to say it rocked. They spent the entire intro ripping on Fox. The new American Dad was great too.

Wow...I completely forgot about American Dad.

Which would be why he said he saw it aired in advance.

Meh, Family Guy has moments, but it's overrated.

I seriously can't even see where you're comming from. I spend the entire show on the floor. Are you sure you aren't talking about this other show, what was it, "The Simpsins? Sompsins?" Something like that.

I love the obscure pop-culture references in Family Guy. Airport, Boba Fett, the Incredible Hulk, the X-files, Logan's Run, Road Warrior, Kiss, the Transformers ... the list just goes on and on. They make a few in this one.

None of those things are obscure...

Things I consider funnier;

Older SNL
Eddie Izzard
Richard Pryor

Obscure pop-culture. They've become removed from mainstream with age. They're all pre to mid 90's and many way earlier. We all remember the Transformers and everything, but these are "remember when" conversation subjects. When's the last time you've heard Murphy Brown referenced?

... And Logan's Run isn't obscure?

Are they running the show weekly after May 1st, or are they just airing the first one and then waiting for a while?

no, a simple Quoted For Truth. I've never found the show that funny. I've sat through some episodes and all they've gotten out me was a simple chuckle, and when i watched the "preview" for American Dad, it didn't even get that much out of me. It just mainly left me thinking, wait . . . . the network ordered more episodes of this. But then again, that same network canceled Futurama, so why should I expect anythign else from them.

You ignore people who say things you don't want to hear, that is proven. Things like "Grow up, and move out."

I however, say things because that is my honest opinion. Something I've done since I've been coming here (Longer than you).

Thrawn has been coming here more than a year longer than you, almost 2....

Anyways, anyone know when it will be aired in the UK?

Indeed, this is like my third username.

Well, 4th. I have like 3 posts on the much older boards. Like, I can't remember what they were. That crappy webboard thing from when Massassi didn't have it's own domain.

And THRAWN wasnt the first name I registared. I had been on the old Massassi board (back at JediNights) with this name as well. But when we transferred over, I screwed up the password and couldn't recover it so I had Kedri delete the name and reregistared. I lsot like 1000 posts.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

Now, both of you realize post count has nothing to do with your worth as a person right?
