Ok so I'm trying to reserve a campsite this summer for a little get-together I'm going.

The lady on the phone is was so stupid.

I'm spelling out my address, Tapley Cove Road.

"Tapley, T as in Tim, A as in Apple .. "
"Wait, did you say A or I?"
"I said apple, does that begin with an I or A"
"Yea, so PI?"
"No, T as in TIM"
"Oh yea, so was that an A or I?"
"A as in APPLE. TAPLEY"

How can people be this stupid? :(
Not only that, before that I gave my phone number.
I forgot to give the area code, so I said 123-4567.
She's like "Zip code?"
"Oh sorry I forgot, it's 312"
"So the number is 123-321-4567?"
"...No.... The area code is 312, I just said that, that goes in the front. 312-123-4567. "
"312-123-4567?"
"Yea, just like I said"

And we were getting two sites since we have quite a bit of people. We wanted to get sites 71 and 72, since they were kind of secluded from everyone else. But they have a couple "specail" sites designed for two groups. They wanted to give us 31a and 31b. We couldn't get 71 and 72 because I already said we wanted two sites as a group. Arg. What the hell do they care if we are seperated a little bit instead of connected directly?

/rant for today

You could always try the phonetic alphabet...

Tapley

Tango alpha papa lima echo yankee.
Pereant qui ante nos nostra dixerunt.

And that would have made a difference, how?

Cause that would've been a much more humorous post!

And it would have confused the hell out of her.

That boat has sailed. I can't begin to understand how she put the area code in the middle of his phone number.

Yeah, I've had that problem too. My dad also did one time, and it was funny 'cause he just hung up really hard and screamed after.
Very funny Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

It's more fun when you go camping in the woods anyways. Tell her to take that campsite, shove it up her ***, and then you and your friends can go do some real camping.

So wait, she asked you for your zip code and you gave her your area code?

It's a ploy to get you to waste money on phone rates, unless of course you have a fixed rate.
