Why do modders insist in using crappy .exe files as a way to get the levels to play? I followed the directions for the ORS level pack, creating a separate folder and dumping all the files in it. The problem is that the .exe launcher keeps on telling me that "it can't find the MOTS game".

Are you sure that the folder you created was in the right spot? I think you had to have everything in the MoTS directory so it would work.

If you do it right, it will pretty much definitly work. So do it right.

do you have a legit copy of mots? or just a copy of the folder, without having it installed?

I have a legit CD of MotS. I installed the game from a cd, so that shouldn't be the problem.

Okay, so in the K:\mots\ors folder I have the readme, installation, and the two .goos.

I move ors.exe to the main mots directory and after asking for it to run the game through the launcher I get the error message...

"Cannot find MOTS game, check launcher directory".

Just place all the GOOs in the "resource" directory then, then run MotS as normal.

After you've played ORS, delete the GOOS you pasted to restore MotS to the default game.

But I missed the whole incident and only heard everyone talk badly about him and the levels cause after the fact.

I was a beta tester for the final 1-9 episodes, and I believe episode 6 he had changed a ton of stuff. But it crashed so much for some reason that he replaced it with the original level. Checking my files, I actually still have that beta zip from then.

I just wondered what happened to him. After the incident his website disappeared, he e-mail stopped, and no sign of him anymore...

I remember there being an incident, but nothing as to what happened. It was just so long ago, and someone getting banned isn't something I make any particular effort to remember in detail.

It must've been about 3-4 years ago, likewise I only heard second hand information about it. I don't know whether it really was as bad as it sounded, or whether it was just bad because people expect more from a serious mapper.

Thanks guys, I finally got it to work by putting it into the resource folder. I wasn't able to check out any of the new weapons, but besides that it worked great.

I downloaded terror on Sigma and I am totally stuck. What do you do after you've gotten the blue key and have driven around the mouse droid in level 2?
