My new house

A few weeks ago, I moved out of the college dorms a bit early and into a duplex. For $636 per month total rent, no utilities, we got a pretty good deal, considering that similar duplexes through other property companies cost upwards of $700 per month.

Anyway, I took some pictures and decided to share. While my place is nowhere near as nice as Spiral's new place[/jealousy], it suites me just fine.

My desk, which I got for $20 at a garage sale.

My bookshelf/TV stand, which was a really great find at a garage sale for $30.

Our dining table which sits at the end of the living room. It was also a steal for $10 at the Salvation Army. Chairs were $4 each.

Our dog, which we call the Dude, Duder, His Dudeness, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

The best part is, we're saving around $300 per month each over living in the dorms.

Wow, it's quite possible you live in the same neighborhood as my sister. She goes to Mizzou, and her duplex has an utterly identical layout.

I live in the Derby Ridge subdivision, and there are a lot of college students that live in this area, so it is quite possible.
