I'm sorry should a topic like this have been started a while back, I haven't only recently started visiting these forums.
With the upcoming release of Guild Wars, which has been in production by ArenaNet for a good 3 years now, I wanted to know how many -ians were looking into getting it, who were looking forward to its release?
I personally got into the Beta Events and I must say it was purely an outstanding MMORPG. It has beautiful graphics, but on to of that, some fun and intriguing game which was worked to evade the tedious flaws of typical MMORPGs (EQ, EQII, WoW, Etc.)
Though this game's overall aim is the PvP portion, it features a nice, multi-climate world to explore, loads of quests to complete and hordes of great looking beasts to defeat.
PvP is trully your thing but you hate to start at level one and got to bust your back working up to be competitive? Then this game's got the feature you need. Upon creating a new character ( 4 per server ) you have the opportunity to create a PvP player, gaining access to all pvp arenas/areas and getting a full level character. Of course you have 6 classes which can be interbred, with each 150 different skills, from which you can only take 8 per character? Imagine the diversity that is created by this game, and the new level of strategy this brings to guilds battling it out.
This brilliant MMORPG also offers another unseen "feature", one new to commercial MMORPGS (not Mu Online or Knights Online) :
No monthly fees. Thats right, buy the game, and play as much as you want.
The one little thing I'm "expecting" from free monthly fees is that the expansions (which they call chapters) may tend to cost slightly higher than others. (I may also just be a pessimistic ******* :P)
SOO I wanna know who's going to get it so I can start hanging out with my favorite community of the Internet again
