Ok, not really typical. This is what happened:

Anyway, I work in the building directly across the street from the house where this event took place. (Some of the details of that news report are inaccurate, btw.)
Basically at about 7:00 am ish... we hear gunshots. Our bosses come running into the room. "Everyone stay away from the windows, and stay seated!" We sit. Meanwhile our building is locked down. No one can come in or go out. We were not evacuated as the report suggests, but isntead we're locked in. Time passes. I'm starting to think it'd be worth the risk of being shot if I could get out of the building and get a whopper.
Anyway, between occaisional gunshots I'm selling home refinances over the phone (I love my job) but I'm getting hungry, and I can't leave the building.
Anyway, they ended up sneaking us in some pizza. The pizza was delivered to a location like two blocks away and then our security team went out the back door and walked over and brought back the pizza.
And that was basically it... They were originally expecting to keep us locked in for quite some time (like all day, into the evening) but the guy apparently killed himself, and then it was all resolved.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
