jeez. Although I can't really complain, because after my first 8 hours on the campus network (without a firewall, mind you), I had around 15,000 Trojans, and 1 Blaster virus. (that's not exaggerating, I really did have that many. took a couple hours to clean)

WTF do you do to get 15,000 trojans? I never use a firewall or AV protection and I don't get anything. :confused: All I do is scan once every few months to check.

I didn't do anything other than connect to to my school's T3 network at the beginning of the year. Apparently I wasn't the only one that didn't have precautions set up yet. I don't get nearly as many hits now, but everything that hits my firewall is on campus.

Jeeez. The most I've ever gotten is about 16. I don't know how anyone could have so much spyware and crap.

You see Freelancer, some of us need more than a hot avatar to feed our sexual cravings. We tend to find ourselves downloading pornagraphic images of women. This tends to give us virus'. It's the internet's version of STDs.

I haven't run any sort of virus or spyware checking software in months. Then again, they don't make many programs like that for Linux. For good reason. :D

I guess I should scan my windows machine, and the windows partition of this machine, but I never use windows on this one anymore, and my other machine hasn't been connected to the internet in weeks, and didn't have anything on it earlier. Plus, my router stops most everything that would be malicious anyway.

My record has been at around 800 on my dad's machine. This was after about 3 years of no scans, and my step-grandfather goes to all these raunchy porn sites when he's over
