Gran Turismo 4 -- Anyone else disappointed?

I don't feel like writing a huge review. Don't get me wrong, I love the game. Even so, here's what I thought went sour. I'm putting everything down, even ones that Polyphony explained (such as no Online mode):

.
  • No Online mode
  • Inability to combine screens in 2P replay
  • The Physics -- Ya, it's more realistic, but it's like learning all over
  • Missing courses that were promised: Rome Circuit, Red Rock Valley Speedway, Complex String
  • Ya, it's got 50 courses. Too bad 15 of them are variants of 4 locations. (Fuji, Fuji 2001, Fuji East, Fuji West, Fuji Upside-down, Fuji ... you get the idea
  • Not all cars can use racing tires in 2P, even if you bought them for that car in Sim mode
  • That crappy, skinny oval with one chicane
  • Missing my NASCAR -- ya, not the biggest NASCAR fan, but it sure would be fun in GT4 on all the tracks
  • Crappy soundtrack (as always)

I dunno, I guess the thing that disappointed me was the fact that I waited over 2 years for GT4 to be all the other GT's PLUS tons of new features. I was waiting for a 7 starts out of 5 game, and instead got a 4 out of 5 one.

The only things I agree with are no full-screen replay in 2p mode (although is sorta good as you dont miss something cool if it's not a close race), and you cant use all the cars and all the options in 2p mode. Actually the multiplayer is what lets the game down, otherwise it rocks my boxers.

The new city rally tracks are awesome. Multiplayer we race a large majority on either Costa di Amalfi or Cita d' Aria, they're really cool difficult tracks where anything could go wrong at any moment.

Oh, and the soundtrack as Franz Ferdinand and Snow Patrol. 2 good out of 50+ odd tracks aint bad :p

I agree with nearly everything you said (Nascar doesn't belong in a REAL racing game. Get those guys off the circle tracks and it'll be interesting). But I still love the game. I'll be picking up Forza as soon as my copy gets to Blockbuster (should be tomorrow) so I may not be loving it for too much longer :)
