It's being made by Remedy, creators of Max Payne. I can't wait! :D

I've been waiting for big, beautiful landscapes like this for years.

FINALLY.
VTEC just kicked in, yo!

Hmm, kinda reminds me of The Shining that picture does...

I hope it's as good as they bill it..

Ooh, pretty graphics.

Hopefully nice gameplay.

That is a very nice landscape/setting.

However, I think as far as visuals/gameplay that the next generation games should try more with weather effects. Some early 3-D games I remembered did it well IMO (like Top Gear Rally), and it'd be nice to see more of that used.

why is the bloom effect so popular?

is it because it makes things look softer focused, and thus the obviously polygonal models look more rounded, and thus look more "real"?

That's a pretty good hypothosis, but it's more probable that the bloom effect is simply the new technological gimmick that everyone is using. Sort of like it was with lens flare back in earlier 3-D work (which so happens to be in this picture too).

That's probably 'concept' renderings, like all of the amazing next gen images released. I can think of a couple exceptions, but those don't look ultra insane like this one does.

But hey, if I'm wrong: Good.

Did anyone watch the trailer?
It looks cool, but almost looks like it should be a movie, not a game. I have no idea what they are trying to make.

On that note, good graphics. I really hope that it will have a diverse envirionment. That is probably one of the best thing a game can do, is have large, explorable environments.

Strangely enough, the trailer made me think of mist...

Well, my dad just walked into my room while I was looking at that and said "nice picture". I had to tell him that it was a video game.

All he said for HL2 was "nice graphics".

Doesn't really reveal anything about the game. Some parts look a little fake (like in Metal Gear Solid 3).
