We'll (my friends and I) see it about a week after release. Less freaks to deal with in the theater.

i am one of those freaks.

ha!! jk.
when we went to see episode 2 there were people dressed up having light sabre battles in the front of the theatre while we waited for the show to start. my kids thought it was fun. :/

If you're not seeing Star Wars with the freaks, what's the point? I plan to bring my own lightsaber (not the cheap kind, either), and possibly wear my robe.

Yeah, I have mine too. I'm also planning on dressing up as Boba Fett, though my costume making skills have started SUCKING. For a while, everything was going great, and now suddenly, it is all not. I've still got some time, so we'll see what I can do about the suckiness before the 19th.

Can anyone tell me which theater in Philadelphia would be the best to see RotS at? Google gave me a bunch of theaters, but no real way of knowing which is best. My friends and I want to go to a showing with lots of dressed up fans.

Just so you know, my theatre I work at is assuming any lightsabers, plastic or whatever, is a weapon, and may not allow them in the theatre....

It's coming out after I graduate, so I'm going to catch the afternoon show a few days after it comes out, with the whole theatre to myself. ;)

er.... Freaks came across wrong. Not freaks as in the people who go all out and dress up. Freaks as in the people who can't sit still for the duration. Freaks as in the people who buy LOADS of food and just much the whole time. Freaks as in the people who are too stupid to turn cell phones OFF, and wouldn't you know, it's ALWAYS the ones with the overly obnoxious ring tones. Freaks as in the people who bring their 3 year olds to the theater, complete with toys, and let them sit in the back yelling and talking the whole DAMN TIME.

I think I've made my point.

I dealt with that the first time I saw Ep II, and the first time I saw RotK. When I went to see both again, I was amazed by how much I MISSED during the first showing because of said freaks.

I can actually purchase tickets at my local theater for a 12:01, 12:02, 12:03, or 12:04 AM showing. I know they're some still available, because the 12:01 AM showing says there are no tickets left while the rest of the shows have no such warning.

I'm not that interested though.

What's amazing though is later that day, when the theater actually opens, it'll be playing on 6 screens. That's a lot.

Yeah, word on the street in my small town is that tickets won't be sold until 12 noon of May 18, which requires me to skip school or get someone to order during that morning. The theatres here don't sell in advance such as a week before or more.

I got my ticket for saturday, 21st... As it suits me better than the earlier two days. No doubt I could have got tickets for the earlier days, though. But this movie doesn't matter to me as much as the LOTR movies did (the only movies I've watched the opening day).

Wraa! I just realized it is the first star wars movie rated PG-13. How about that.

Why not watch them in episode order? That might make more sense. Then again, if you don't already know what episode 4, 5, and 6 are about, you should probably go into protective custody.

I preordered my ticket online a week or so ago, and will be using my credit card to get the ticket on the night of the show.

I'm doing the same, except I'm watching them all in order. And I'm doing it on the weekend.

I got 4 tickets on opening day for a 3:15 showing. At least we know that somewhere out there, there are other fanatics like us all watching this movie.....
