Why do people put such stock in critics? They so often praise movies I hate and put down movies I love. Bleh

There were 10 critics that submitted reviews. One of them didn't like it.
I doubt its going to stay 90% when more reviews come in.

Hmm, they need to update it. There are 12 reviews, 10 fresh and 2 rotten. So that's like errr *thinks* like 83% now?

Heh. The exact same thing happened with Episode II. The very first pre-release reviews (both professional and on IMDb) were glowingly positive. Then more and more negative reviews popped up. Then once the film was released, the bashing started.

Truth is this film will still get lots of bashers, many people have already made up their mind whether they will like it or not. Another thing (on IMDb at least) that has come about since Episode II is this silly "LotR vs. Star Wars" conflict, many LotR fans will give this film a low score to ensure it doesn't "threaten" (as they see it) the high position that the Rings trilogy holds. There are some very sad and lonely people on the internet.

Aye.

Maybe a merge with the thread with the Kevin Smith review is in order? That review was excellent, and renewed my interest in Ep III.

Hmm, Boondock Saints was awesome (for me) and it got a low rating, so i'm not trusting this site too much.

Erm, WTF?

From the article:

Quote:
Revenge of the Sith's two greatest moments tap into the uncertainty of our own political climate: the dazzling battle between Yoda and Darth Sidious (an outstanding Ian McDiarmid) inside the beautifully spiraling Senate hall evokes Democrats and Republicans scrambling for power and the with-us-or-against-us Anakin's obscenely over-the-top final duel with Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor)

Utter horse wank. I saw this brought up on another forum, the reviewer is basically just going out of his way to be controversial.

George Bush wields a red lightsaber.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.
