So I'm sitting here just now. I get a message from an old friend on messenger. Now, we're not friends anymore, and I don't ever talked to him. I had him blocked on messenger, but unblocked him because I figured he's not going to talk to me anyways.
Here's what just happened...

Honestly, I've met 9 year old kids that are more mature than these guys. It just really irks me that they're not even trying to be annoying with any wit or sarcasm. They're just... acting like idiots. Ugh. Some people.

I think this is only the third incident (from what I can remember) that I've posted about. They've done a whole lot more, which includes various ammounts of crap via instant message, e-mail, and even phone calls. What I've just posted is by far the dumbest incident. Although I guess prank phone calls are pretty friggin dumb, too.

You pretend to be above this abuse, that you don't care. Someone who didn't care wouldn't post about it on a discussion forum, hoping for support. Someone who didn't care wouldn't keep unblocking those people in the hopes of talking to them again. If you actually wanted it to stop, you'd have to just ignore them. Keep them blocked on IM, block their email addresses, hang up when they call. Don't talk to them at all. Anything you say to them, even a simple "hi" can, and will, be used against you.

And obviously, you're not telling the whole story, because no one would decide to hate you forever just because you don't like the same bands they do. The arguments you've posted here have been over the most trivial bull**** imaginable. If you actually lost friends over the definition of the word "punk", then they weren't your friends to begin with and you shouldn't care what they think. However, I think there's an underlying issue that you're not telling us.

I don't quite understand how you got the idea (or even how I could possibly do so) "pretend" to be above this "abuse." For one, I am above this abuse. I don't deserve it, and thus should not have to recieve it. And when exactly was this transition of me "pretending" to be above the abuse, and then "not caring"? Did you read the thread title? I'm pretty sure it reads "I found this so funny, I just have to share it with you." Why the hell would I need "support" for this? I click a button, and it stops. I check my caller ID, and it stops. I'm pretty damn sure I can handle that, thankyou. I was simply posting the conversations because I found them quite humours, and of course quite pathetic and stupid on their part. I unblocked them not because of "hopes of talking to them again," but because I feel that I shouldn't have to always have them blocked. I would figure as mature adults they would actually get over it, and move on. Funny thing that. I did want it to stop, and by God it did stop! Amazing! I guess it was my fault for assuming they were mature enough to let it go, thus unblocking them! My bad! And it's also your bad for assuming that I still talk to them, or even still want to talk to them.

And you're also incorrect about me "not telling the whole story." I've seen people lose friends for far more trivial things than this. Why? Because a lot of people are really, really stupid. These guys were my friends. Unfortunately, they were very stubborn friends. Highy intelligent, stubborn friends. Perhaps that's the underlying issue you're looking for there, but that's all there is to it. And as quite obvious as it is, I don't care what they think. They were the ones that cared so deeply about arguing over what I like to listen to. That was when I made the decision that these guys weren't worth my time. I can easily see how the arguments previously posted might have given the impression that I was defending myself like they'd insulted my religion, but I was only greatly irked by their stubborn attitute, which frustrated me immensely. It was my own fault for trying, or even hoping, to get my points into their thick heads.

And it's not that they hate me because of the music incodent, it's more that they hate me because I won the argument. It may have only been because of definition and technicallity, but I still won. And that's what has pissed them off most.

And I find it absolutely adoring that you've tried to somehow make a mockery of me, but I can find pleasure in the fact that you only look like complete fools to me. But it's only your ignorance, so it's not like I care or anything.
