Okay, something very strange happened earlier today.

I was playing MechWarrior 3, and I tried operation 1, mission 3. I began the mission and went forward about half a kilometer, when the strangest thing happened. My Bushwhacker 'Mech suddenly flew up really, really high for no apparent reason. I could see virtually the entire map from my 'Mech cockpit. I tried looking down on a building complex, and the edges were Z-fighting like crazy. My 'Mech was in the air for at least 20 seconds. Eventually, my 'Mech landed perfectly on the ground with no damage and I proceeded to complete the mission. In addition, my 'Mech didn't have jump-jets, so it wasn't because of overpowered jump-jets.

To make this thread useful, post anything weird that happened to you in video games.

I was playing Halo 2 single player. The game just spontaneously ended. I could tell it was clearly missing a final level. It was weird.

one time, while doing the swoop mission in JA, I ran over one of the mercs and his body got stuck on the back of my bike, and ended up staying there until almost the end of the mission, when I got off and force pushed it off...

... and then he proceeded to stand back up and run away

i was amused
Moo.

I remember wehn testing out the second level of Leeza's destiny, there was this really odd glitch in the river part of the map where a massive stormtrooper rifle the size of a space ship was smack dab in middle of the river. It was bizzare because I never thought the engine was capable of dynamically resizing 3dos like that. Apparently the engine realized its not supposed to be advance enough to do stuff like that so it crashed like 10 seconds after I witness the glitch.

Cliffhanger.

Learn what it means.

Hahahaha.

I remember alot of werid things in JK. Like in MP, if you were playing with a mod with a grappiling hook, if two people grappled each other and jump, they would sort of orbit and fly around, it was alot of fun.

I exited UTK4 once and the gun model was still present on the desktop. It was really weird. I still have the screenshot.

I remember the first time I discovered the uppercut in Dark Forces. If you looked all the way up, walked up to someone and punched, they'd fly about 20 feet into the air. Fun times! :D

haha.

I remember that.

When I used to play SWG, I had a AT-ST "pet". One day he randomly blew up. :(

He was expensive too.

Use the cheat to freeze enemies and do that to a bunch of stormies. Then unfreeze and watch em all fly. :P

Another glitch I found was in Shadows of the Empire. On the level where you ride the trains, when you get to the battle with IG-88 strafe left off the train before doing anything else, and you fall through the floor. You can shoot up at him, but he can't hit you.

Hahaha, I did that as well. A friend and I would mess around with Ninja Kage and the Castle of Ice and Wind. We would get down to the open area at the bottom of the cliff and go nuts.

I remember doing the grappling hook thing, back-flipping down the sides of the mountains, and creating long jumps with the caltrops (or whatever those spike things were called).

Battlefield 1942, single player (cause my friend's comp sucks).
I was in the rear turret of the big bombers, I can't remember the name all of a sudden, but there I was...
The germans were giving us hell. We were taking heavy fire. The craft was on the verge of exploding at any moment...
Suddenly, there was this wierd "chunk!" noise. There was a sudden burst of dark smoke and flame, and what to my wondering eyes should appear, but... the pilot. Flying away. A parachute, blossoming from his back. Traitor. I shot him. DAMN!

Halo MP (PC version)
It was Blood Gulch... *takes a drag off cigarette* we were the red team. Those filthy blues were surrounding us. The Banshee suddenly respawned. I got in. *drag*
I didn't know it, but some of those evil blue buggers had gotten up onto the dunes, you know, behind the base, and had loaded up a warthog with grenades. Oh yeah. They were gonna do it. *drag*
I lifted into the air, happy as a clam. I was gonna nail those blueballed punks. They were DOOMED! And then... *bang!*
I turned, and... oh my god... it couldn't have been possible. It was like in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, when the car goes over the hill with the Star Wars music, it was amazing. It was terrifying. I almost pooed myself. *drag*
The blues... I still can't believe it to this day, had used thermodynamic principals of rapid combustion to convert their Warthog jeep into a ground-to-air manned missile. *drag*
They missed me by a mile, but it was still a hell of a shock. I killed 'em when they landed.

-Good times...

Hmm. Was he still invincible after respawn? Sometimes, if you get caught in an explosion (like an airstrike) right after you respawn, you can go flying.

No idea, he was stuck in the air for a while so I don't know if he could respawn.

In Battlefront, on Friday, it was a 2 on 16 battle in the end -- I was piloting an ATST with my copilot. I'd gotten it down to 2 on 7, I was standing still waiting for more rebels to come, and then my ATST suddenly exploded... for no reason whatsoever -- it frigging cost me the match!

And then yesterday I had captured a command post and was running back to my (empty) ATST, and I was almost there when it randomly exploded, just like last time. Good thing I wasn't in it that time I suppose...
May the mass times acceleration be with you.

That map was so much fun with ninja kage! I always had a hard time finding anyone that had the level pack :(

In JK, I was playing a user-made level that consisted of Qui-Gon Jinn fighting Maul in a Naboo hanger. Anyway, just goofing around, I did the weapons cheat, pulled out the conc and fired a few shots. As I put it away in favor of the lightsaber, Maul did a force pull and actually pulled the lightsaber away. It stayed in the air and looked like some sort of weird crystal sprite. I used to have a picture of it, but it's been lost in reformats.

I loved that map! :D

Plenty of wierd things have happened to me in Deus Ex, mainly concerning bodies having comedy spaz attacks, and actors occasionally just standing there waiting to be killed: I remember once when I'd decided not to kill Maggie Chow in her flat, you meet her again in versalife level 2 when you have to blow the UC and you're forced to kill her then. She did her little speech, and then just stood stock still and did not react to any stimulus. So I placed a load of LAMs around her, retreated to a safe distance, and lobbed in another one and watched her flyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Too many to count, seriously.

Random recent thing in Farcry, I was shooting down a trigen and I might've hit it's leg funny. It spun up into the air, and got caught in the ceiling. It's was going all over the place, whacking into walls and such from it's foot stuck.
