You have no content or argument, so you resort to petty rhetoric and fill your posts with swearing. Ohhh your just so fed up and frustrated with all the idiots who don't know anything about the world aren't you. But you, you've got it all worked out, don't you? Newsflash - you aren't superior, you don't have it all figured out...you are the naive sheep my friend, YOU ARE.
When the **** did I claim to be superior? I'm a puppet to what, a naive sheep to whom? Let's please not pretend that we can presume to impose our own experiences onto a culture that is as different from our own as they can get among humans. Also, please, spare me the irony of doing the exact same thing in criticizing my post as what you are criticizing me for. I hope you can recognize that there is a difference between wars fought between trained (professional—in the sense of what this word means) soldiers, and these same soldiers fighting against a mostly civilian population. I think what you and a lot of people tend to do is to fall into the trap of generalizing about people and things, and that you have lost the ability to assume that perhaps some of the things you encounter do not necessarily fit into the mold of things you have previously encountered.

Actually, Ton's post had a very very very hidden important point.

Americans are ruled by Adam Smith's Invisible Hand. That's right, a dead guy's invisible hand is ruling YOU!!!!!!!!

Seriously, dont you think that if it would have been more profitable for the US to use diplomacy it would have? The decision to go to war with Iraq was most likely made after an exhaustive cost-benefit analysis of all the available options. It was just made easier that the Bush Administration was stacked with war hawks and ex-VPs of Nation Building Inc.

Just to be clear are you saying the American military is not trained or professional and that it is fighting mostly civilian population?

I'm sorry, but you of all people shouldn't be telling people about generalizing on this particular thread, especially after gems like this:

Yet another Iraq justification debate...

I'm saying that there is a difference between being conditioned to follow orders and shoot things, and an active military education.

So, have you decided not to answer my question?

That was part of it. Part of it was to protect future oil interests, and another part was (at least I do believe) the want to protect a nation from its dictator leader.

Why not Sudan or Rwanda then, you ask? Because like I said, PART of it was protecting oil.

Of course, this is all conjecture, so hey.
