Chronicles of Riddick DVD cut
2005-05-15, 9:18 AM #1
As I sit here watching the movie for the first time on HBO, I thought I remembered reading here a while ago that the DVD cut was signifiigantly better than the final cut. So should I watch the rest of this or rent the DVD and watch that?

I've never actually seen the theatrical cut, but being an owner of the DVD (and just having watched it this very morning) I can safely say that I like it a great deal.

I don't know about Riddick's DVD, but I know AvP was cut to **** by the studio and the DVD is supposed to be a lot better.

Well I only saw a cut version (the only DVD version available in this country), and I didn't think much of the film. A lot of my problems with it were a lot to do with the daft visuals in the film though, so I doubt added footage would've improved my experience much.

I enjoyed Pitch Black though and I thought Escape from Butcher Bay was an excellent Xbox game.
