I was just about to post that.

My cat pissed EVERYWHERE before we got him fixed. And not just normal piss either. Oh no, you think cat piss stank. Try horny cat "secretions". Oh jesus christ it peed on everything. My clothes, bags, jackets, and everything else smelt like that for several weeks after getting him fixed.

We never had either of these problems, male or female, with the several cats we've had. I can definetly see those as good reasons, but only if you find it to be a problem. Taking away an animals reason to live a week after it's born makes NO sense to me.

Most organisations interested in the animals well-being wont nueter/spay an animal till it has reached sexual maturity. At least, the RSPCA wont desex young animals.

The cat I was talking about was neutered after it had had its chance in life. I don't exactly know what happened to all the offspring, but at least some of them were let to live and taken elsewhere, and so the line wasn't broken.
