Well, this morning I had a court hearing to determine my visitation rights with my baby daughter. To start off with, I arrived a half-hour late becuase there was a road closed in the middle of the country and i had to try and find my own detour through gravel covered backroads since they did not put up any signs for a detour

I brought my friend/ex-girlfriend Cara with me to court just becuase i haven't been sleeping well lately and if i got too tired i would need somebody else to drive. well, it was decided that since madison is still very young that I would have visits with her for 2-3 hrs every other friday, and then in six months we can reconsider the ammount of time since she'll be more comfortable with being away from her mother for longer periods of time.

but i thought I'd share the good news with you all and also share a couple of pics of her.

look at that face. :) :) :) :) :) :)

i have forsaken the possibilty of having a girlfriend in a meaningfull relationship in order to live with my kids. their mother and i have been living together for the past 7 years, with separate bedrooms. we are able to afford a 'better' lifestyle with both of us living in the same house.
i could not imagine not seeing my boys everyday.

I'm genuinely sorry you won't beable to see her more than every other week. That's sad. Enjoy the time that you have though.

Well, I live nearly two hours away, so at this point (especialy considering right now I"m only work for my parents at their store and not pulling in much money) I can't really get out there to see her too often, especially with these gas prices. I suggested "every other week" just taking into consideration that if i was spending that much just on the gas to get out and see her, i wouldn't be able to put away as much money for her future as i plan too

You have to hand it to the court; it DOES make sense to keep her with her mother at that age. I'm not a baby expert, but there's a sort of maternal motherly thing that's sort of necissary for normal child development, isn't there?

Then again, some kids are born without a mother, and they turn out just fine... I think?

Best advice. Become best friends with your ex/the childs mother. The friendlier you are the more liklt you are so see your kid often, also her mum might even visit you now and again.

Good luck.

Paedo? since when is it spelt like that?

Is that a slap mark on her face? :p

No, she's got a birthmark on her face. I'm really hoping that it fades away by the time she's in school. My friend patrick thought I was being superficial in saying that but really I just don't want her to go through all of the teasing i remember from gradeschool, becuase kids can be cruel
