Well, I like RC but I have no interest in editing it, I would download and play other levels though.



I doubt it. Academy and Outcast never took off on this site in the way I thought and hoped it would. Post JK, Massassi's interest in editing seems next to dead.

But even outside Massassi, there seems to be no interest whatsoever in editing this game. The only proposed mod I've seen is one where some guy wants to convert everything in the game to Imperial stuff, not only is it a completely pointless idea but it'll never see the light of day.

Where did I say that? And even if I did, I waas simply refering to all the people here that are getting seriously ANGRY at FGR for posting this topic. (which is a legit topic)

But some people still started editing them when the editors were released. I'm quite sure it will happen again in the future if there will be a new Jedi game... which is likely to happen.

And yes, no one else seems to be interested in editing it. Though if they really wanted to make the game better, they could use the editor to make it better... or maybe not, considering they're also hypocrites.

Holy crap, people don't edit it because they either don't like the game or don't feel like editing it. What is the big deal? You guys are going crazy over nothing - FG, editors owe you nothing, it's not their job to get busy and edit just to make you happy, give me a break here!

I'm not saying they should do anything for me. More likely (I've stated this quite many times), I'm just curious why isn't a pretty much perfectly editable game like RC good enough for them? If it would be a Jedi game, no matter what engine (even if it used the same) does it use... even if it would be less editable than RC, there would be some people editing it!

RC is absolutely and totally uninspiring to me. The weapons feel underpowered, I don't like squad combat, the art made it feel more like a Star Trek game than a Star Wars game....

If it were a 3D Dark Forces I would simultaneously mess my pants and write an editor for it, but since it isn't I don't feel any need to edit it. It's similar to how I loved and even edited the X-Wing series, but I don't give a damn about Jedi Starfighter or what-have-you. LEC just can't make games like they used to.

People who say "I wanted RC to be a better game" are not a hypocrits. They believe that LEC did not deliver a good product. If there is no real interest surronding the game, they don't want to edit. Personal taste. If they said, "Edit RC! Edit RC! Edit now!," then they are hypocrites. I really don't see any good examples of hypocrisy then you.

Yeah, FG you're just trying to stir up trouble. You're making an assumption that people aren't editing RC simply because it's not a Jedi game. But that's bogus. Most people didn't like the game. Of the people that did, there probably aren't many that are both familiar with and actually like the unreal editor. There also aren't a bunch of cool sites teaching you HOW to edit the game (probably because not that many people actually liked the game). I don't remember seeing any decent number of people saying they were going to edit RC, so your whole argument is flawed because it's one basic assumption is incorrect.

The problem I have with RC is it doesn't offer many immediate opportunities. For instance, it was very easy in JK to create a completely original story using the wealth of resources that came with the game. The resources for RC just aren't as adaptable, bringing a greater restriction to the creative process.
