I really like, best ever.
Even has replaced Slashdot as my homepage... However I guess that is only a quasi replacement really.

I think that you will always have the option of having nothing on the page.

I think that that personalization is a good idea.

Perhaps, but that alienates some users, and they know that. Defaulting the the slim, fat-free Google we all know and love will (hopefully) never change, but if the user chooses, it can act as a portal. Its a good compromise, and I applaud them for it.


On the other hand, I will not be using this service because portals suck.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.
