I'm actually feeling pretty low atm, I guess I was just way too hyped up about it. But I'm going over to a friend's later to watch the Champion's League final (come on Liverpool!) and then tomorrow all my friends have their last exams so I'll be going back to uni to celebrate (and get very drunk!)

So, little update on the Maeve -

I've been looking into various employment-type thingamies, hopefully I'll get a work from home academic essay writing job, I actually really enjoy researching and writing up new things. I'm also trying to get a job on a cruise ship for the summer, though nobody seems to agree with me that it would be the most awesome thing ever.

In the last month or so, I've turned somewhat punky, dunno if it's a reaction to being single again or leaving uni or what, but I now have pink hair and a labret piercing -



hmmmmmmmmm.... roit. turns out alot less has happened to me over the last couple of months than I thought.

Anyway, before the days of drunkenness begin, I plan to make up for all my lost Starcraft hours, if anyone wants to join me, I always use b.net US East, nick maevie

Congrats, please don't do anything stupid like DRIVE after you've been drinking. Good luck finding a job, and yeah, working on a cruise ship for a summer sounds awesome.

British degree award system -
A = First = 70%
B = 2:1 = 60%
C = 2:2 = 50%
D = Third = 45%

it varies from uni to uni a bit, but even a 2:2 in Physics should make me reasonably employable in the long term, since I don't plan to go into research.

Maevie, about the cruise ships - be warned. It's ALOT of work. You rarely get to go on land.

I thought it was be a blast too. Then I looked into it. I talked to several people that had done it. They say it can be fun - but it's also ALOT of work.

Congratulations on finishing uni.

It only sunk in about an hour ago. Sitting with my friend, just chatting about random stuff. I've finished university. I will have a degree. This is pretty immense. anyway... :p



dear.god.no right now, I want whatever job I can take that involves no brainwork at all. Admittedly, I didn't exactly do much work for my degree, but when I did, it was hard. I just want to earn a bit of money, start living a little again.



What a game! the first 30 mins or so were boring as hell, Liverpool got pissed on, the game was over at half time. Then all hell broke loose! Fabulous second half, immensely exciting ending. We broke open a bottle of champagne to celebrate my finishing uni and an English team winning the Champion's League.



Yeah, I'm aware that it's not all fun and games. My main attraction to it is being able to earn money whilst not spending any (food + board included) plus it's tax free, so you just get a big lump sum at the end. Being able to spend a bit of time in the sun (on board, I don't expect to get on land much, if at all) would just be a bonus.

None in particular, I've signed up with this website that tailor-makes a CV for you and sends it off to various lines. Most services I've seen like that want a joining fee (no way) but this one had a free package.

To be honest, it's probably a bit late to be looking into it for this year, but if I decide I definitely do want to do it in the future, I'll start personally contacting UK-based companies.
