Currently getting fed up with Norton Anti-Virus, and I'm wondering if there are any other better alternatives. What do you guys think?

The best anti-virus software? --- linux. :)

Kaspersky is supposed to be the best out right now, rating even higher in detection rate than Norton. It's not free, of course. As far as free one goes, AVG is probably the best. I used to use Anti-Vir, but their software is buggy and the system protect wouldnt always turn on. When I switched to AVG, it even found another virus.

AVG doesn't look free to me ... is there something I'm missing?
