That depends... if you live in a dorm they may not let you have one of those (I know that they weren't allowed in my hall).

Yeah, they dont let you have grills in the dorms. They are great for apartments though.

Each floor in the RIT dorms has a kitchen with a stove and a microwave though, so you dont really need a grill.

I would suggest getting a small TV for the dorms if you dont already have one.

When I was in high school, one of my best friends jokingly asked her parents for a boyfriend for her birthday, and they actually set her up with somebody. They lasted almost a year.

I read "grill" as "girl." Strangely, it still made sense.

why would you want to live in a dorm?

I'd personally join a frat.

It would be foolish to rush right into a fraternity, especially your freshman year.

A good TV tuner is a nice way to eliminate the need for a TV, as long as you have a 17" or larger screen. That Leadtek one (look on their site) is supposed to be really awesome, and is only about $40-$50. It also wouldn't give you trouble if you have an nVidia card, like I've heard the ATI ones do.

psh... Marshalls are so overrated. But its better than a Line6. If you really want something worth your money look into Mesa or Vox.

I <3 the marshall sound. Ive had alot of people tell me they are overrated, but I love the way they feel.
Mesa I havent really played with a guitar, Ive only played bass on one of those.
And I dont recall ever playing on a Vox amp...

Many colleges require that you live in the dorms your first year, and I recommend it. It's your first year there, and living in the dorms helps you meet a lot of people.

Don't join a frat if you don't like being treated like the **** of the world for a semester, or don't like to go to big parties.

RIT requries that you live in the dorms for one quarter, minimum. Also, the majority of the frats at RIT arent like traditional frats at all. They are community service frats, and their parties are neither wild nor crazy. RIT itself is anything but a party school. Although there is a state school nearby, which is where most RIT students go for parties.
