OK, so I just spent 400 dollars on an iPod photo to find out that when I connect the USB to the iPod MY COMPUTER WONT RECOGNIZE IT. wtf. It is seriously pissing me off and I have to connect it to "format" it but it sits there not doing ****. Any ideas?

From? I put the iPod CD in and it asked me to connect it so I did and it did nothing. For an hour.

Make sure you don't plug it into a USB Hub. It needs a direct USB port on the computer to work. AKA a "Powered USB Port"
