Mount and Blade Indie Game

It's a game in medieval time being developed by two people. The game is fun. To see an example of the game I have a video. The rest of it is sorta like pirates with towns and your horse riding around between them and you can chase down pirates or enemy armies and such. The demo is free until level 6, plenty of time to check it out and have some fun.

Looks awesome. Too bad my comp prolly won't play it...

Quote:
Battles in Mount&Blade require a high degree of concentration and user involvement. A few powerful blows can take you down, and there is no such thing as a "healing potion", therefore you must stay alert and parry or dodge each and every blow. This is difficult, but when you enter a pitched battle against five dark knights, and emerge as the last man standing, you will know that you deserve your reputation as the finest swordfighter in Calradia.

SWEET!

The skill part is why I'm loving the bow. I don't always hit, but if I'm careful and time it right so I'm most accurate I can usually do fairly well hitting enemies or softening them up for my own troops. I think sometimes I'm lucky to hit anyone at all and other times I hit everyone. I think I knocked 3 people off their horses last battle by nailing them in the nail with arrows as I circled but other times I get cut off and trapped and lose my horse and end up fighting just to keep em back.

Off to bed...I think I played that game all day since I got it. Very very fun for $12. I think I'm level 10 now and I got my first sidekick hero.

I played this from around 11 PM to 5 AM then 2 PM until about now...

SO ADDICTIVE. This game includes all the elements from my favorite medieval games. And the combat interface is such that without any modifiers you can go from being unable to take down a single peasant to singlehandedly cutting a swath of destruction through the most hardened foes.

This is really fun. Everyone should try it. I like these low budget games. They are addicting.

Sounds great! Like a mix between a Dynasty Warriors and a Bushido Blade game for the PC.

Love the distinct lack of "fantasy" elements (MAGICK MIISSUHL! *sparkly sparkly* HEAALIE! *Poof* etc.) Arrows and bolts embedding themselves in opponents are always cool too.

Gonna have to give this a whirl once I get the old box running.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

Picking off pursuing riders at a full gallop, running down infantry on a charger... awesome.
