Just a note for all watching this video - most of the time these things are ILLEGAL to make, illegal to own plans for, etc. It's a sucky world when they criminalize stuff like this, BUT just so you know, the reason they did was because too many kids were morons and SHOT THEMSELVES or OTHERS or ANIMALS or other people's PRIVATE PROPERTY. I have seen countless news stories of people being killed or maimed by these things, so if you are going to do something like this, USE SOME DAMN COMMON SENSE and make sure you're not doing anything illegal in your state/city/etc.

Mine can probobly shoot that far, but mine's way more portable, it has a shoulder sling, and it's hair-spray powered. I have a grill igniter for it, works like a fricken charm.. plus mine shoots fire out the end...

My brother made some smaller ones that worked on compressed air. He used them to launch confetti. They were nothing compared to that one. That thing is a Spudzooka. THAT'S AWESOME!!!!!! Nice choice of music for the video too.

We made on in Physics with an aircompressor, an empty tube for the air, a valve, and a tube for the potato. Two tubes and a valve, with a cap and adapter for the air compressor basically. It launched a little over 150 meters. Damn good, IMO.

Fun stuff though.

That's pretty damn cool. I had never seen one in action before, and never thought exactly how those could kill someone... but I see now. Ouch.
