so i ordered my Athlon64 the other day (3000+ Venice core) from NewEgg and forgot that monday was a holiday... so first of all my shipping is delayed a bit =( but that's fine...

here's the thing that gets me:
http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?action=track&tracknumbers=702641032520&
it was in Wichita... then they sent it BACK to FtWorth! WHY?
that makes no sense at all. if it had stayed in Wichita it could have been out on the truck for Winfield this morning! (no sort facility here in Winfield... trucks leave Wichita at like 6 or 630 to deliver to Winfield and other little towns around here)

*sigh*

anyone know a bit about FedEx's workings want to explain this to me?
i hope it's not just some moron throwing my parcel on the wrong truck, hehe

EDIT: w00t it's out for delivery... i'm hyped ;D

Maybe it had to go to a FedEx hub, of sorts. All the packags they get in th area might go to that location gefore being shipped out.

yeah what he said, I tracked all my parts from Newegg, since I live on the eastern side of the U.S. It was more consistent on moving from west to east since there hubs are along the way. Most of the parts I got were from California.

Maybe they accidentally left it on the truck when it went back to Fort Worth.

Well, I actually work at FedEx, and being a truck loader myself, I imagine that you're probably right about it being put on the wrong truck. Occasionally loaders will read the "From" address instead of the "to" address, and mark it up as a misload, thus sending it back to the original location. Well, I'm glad that your package got delivered safely, though!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you are one of the hundreds of parachuting enthusiasts who bought our "Easy Sky Diving" book, please make the following correction: on page 8, line 7, the words "state zip code" should have read "pull rip cord."

You mean you are surprised as you delivered it personally after jumping on it several times then running it over with the truck just to make sure it was broken.
