see the title. only, I dont want a disscussion to do with anime (in general or about a specific one) or star wars ( there are enough of those in here to give me my star wars agument fix), or passion of the christ ( or other simmilar films).

Why would you want to get involved in a debate on IMDb? Their forums are one of the slums of the interenet. If a debate doesnt start out with flaming and insults, then it degenerates into flames within the first 5 posts.

I was starting to wonder if I was the only person who though that. My suspicions have been confirmed.

yeah, but so can I. I have very few places where I can realy get into full on debate mode. If I do it here, I get into trouble. However, I can do better arguing there.

Massassi is [somewhat] populated with intelligent people, but at IMDB ..... you have to hunt around for them. :D

I saw that movie in theatres as a kid. I still remember Shaq throwing that guy into the paper basket. Kind of weird how crap leaves an impression on young and malleable minds...

I've done it in a few political debates. Few.

Debates here usually do open my eyes quite a bit though. I'll admit my views are fairly narrow minded, and the opinions of others sometimes suprises the hell out of me, and makes me change my opinion. Other times it doesn't.
