I just bought Guild Wars last Thursday (on sale for $40 instead of $50), and I'm addicted. I played a bit of the WoW beta, but I think I like Guild Wars too much to buy WoW. I have a level 8 Ranger by the same name as I go by here as of now. Just left pre-searing last night, gonna go back into the game after this post.

In comparison to WoW, it's about equal I think. True, you don't get the random I've saved your life moments, but there is also no waiting in line to complete a quest and no spawn camping, which I like. I'm just questing now, but I'll definately check out PvP somtime soon.

So, if you'd like to add me to your buddies, please do. And post your characters so I can do the same. Also, I would possibly like to join a guild, but not just any old guild. I'd like it to be pretty active and decent. Seems like all the guil;ds in game advertise "Have capes!" and that's about it. So, suggestions?

Yeah, I have both WoW and Guild Wars. Frankly, in my opinion, WoW is about 1000 times better than the latter. I mean, don't get me wrong. The cities and so forth are beautiful. It's just a very pretty game (for the most part). But, as a friend of mine once said, "It just isn't WoW." The fact that you can only carry 8 spells is just really lame to me. And being able to transport to another city, although nice, is far too easy. Also, there's no jump. And when I'm running around with my little Tauren, I like to jump (I actually don't have a lot of experience with the outside world. :p ). Also, you can only play as humans, which isn't as interesting. I'm one that is into a lot of varity.

However, there are things about the game that I really liked. Being able to get spells for two classes is pretty nice.

That's just my opinion though.

Right now a couple friends and I have our own Guild. We mainly just use the Guild channel as our own private chat but we do missions and stuff together. You're welcome to join if you don't mind being in a small guild.

OSC Empire has a guild as well... I don't play often enough because of work, but it's a strong guild as-is..
