From Dell Home, $750 off $1500 on Inspirons except Inspiron 1200, 2200, 6000i and outrageous deal notebooks

Starting June 7, 2005 at 8am CDT save $750 on select Inspiron notebook purchases of $1499 or more
Only 15,000 systems available coupon code: LLWP929VNQXM0$

The last time they ran this deal, about two months ago, I managed to pick up a 600m with a 1.5 GHz Pentium M, 768 MB memory, 60 GB HD, etc. for $800.

Only thing you really need to note about that coupon is that it eliminates the instant savings discount, so make sure to add the instant savings discount on when you're taking pricing into effect.

If you plan on buying one, I recommend you figure out what you want tonight and be up and ready at 8 AM (9 AM EST) to buy it right then. Last time this coupon ran out in 45 minutes and brought the site down with it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was used up quicker this time.

This seems to be all the ones that are available, with the info about savings... Um, why don't any of them have video cards? Or am I just stupid?

It's just not something they list on that page for some reason. It's in the customization pages though if you can change it. Some, like the 600m, only have a 32 MB Radeon 9000 cause it's the onboard video of that laptop. The larger laptops like the 6000 allow you to choose though.

Dell is the devil. I'm sure there is somewhere a clause stating that you sell your soul to them when you buy one of the laptops.
And that would be illegal, because all our souls belong to Brian.
And because Dell wants us to do something that is illegal, it is the devil.

Oh yeah, I expect to see plenty of "OMG DELL SUX0RS" replies to this post, but oh well. If they don't want an awesome deal on a laptop it's their problem.

I mean it's been my personal experience and that of most of my friends who actually know how to take care of a laptop that Dell ones are pretty good. Hell, we beat the crap out of a D600, stomped on it, dropped it, and it still ran. Wasn't till after we finally broke the battery that it died.

Damn it's American only. :(

Oh yeah, not surprising since Dell has different divisions for international orders.

I have a Dell laptop. Its about 3.5 years old, and I try to take good care of it. I never dropped it, beat it or raped it. But, about 2 years of having it, the mouse buttons do not work, screen sometimes goes completely crazy, USB port doesn't work, some keys can't be used, and other problems. Ugh.

Well, why didn't you stomp on it properly, as Darth and his friends did? Then you wouldn't have any problems. ;)
