Best time

I just got back from a weekend at my girlfriend's house, and I made excellent time on the drive home. This prompted me to wonder, what's the best time anyone here has ever gotten on a trip, compared to what would be considered average? (good way to determine average is to check http://maps.yahoo.com )
[note: I'm assuming this will be acceptable discussion, based on previous posts made here regarding speed and speed limits, etc. If not, admins, feel free to delete or close. also note: THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION ON THE ETHICS OF SPEEDING. If you disapprove of driving over the posted limit, please don't post. Your sentiments are already understood.]

I have this trip home, and a previous trip.

from Lake Stevens, WA to Spokane Valley, WA:

Driving distance: 315 miles
Total projected time: 5 hours, 15 minutes
Actual time: 3 hours, 30 minutes
actual time/projected time ratio: 67% (this is the best way to compare different trips (actual time / projected time) The lower the # the faster)
Average speed (based on driving distance and actual time): 90 mph (distance / time (in minutes) x 60)

from my home in Spokane Valley, WA to Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA:

Driving distance: 30 miles
Total projected time: 45 minutes
Actual time: 23 minutes
actual time/projected time ratio: 51%
Average speed: 78 mph

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

So yeah...

Where again did you find a road with a 90mph speed limit?

I've made it to a place called Campbellford, Ontario from Peterborough, Ontario in 15minutes. It's normally an hour drive.

The speed limit on most of the roads I was on was 70 mph. But I think it's pretty much implied that I was going over the posted limit. see my disclaimers.

Baie-Comeau, QC to Sept-Iles, QC

Distance: 246 km (154 miles)
Projected time at 90 km/h: 2h45
Actual time: 1h25
Ratio: 52%
Estimated speed: ~174 km/h (~109 mph)

My dad wanted to kill me. I had called him leaving from Baie-Comeau, and showed up an hour and a half later. He did the math himself. :p

Is it wrong that I'm scared to be driving around in the same country as Shintock and Temperamental?

Actually, I can't complain. I've done 240 km/h down local roads in my friend's car before.

I've made the Bay Area to the LA area in under six hours. That's usually a 7-8 hour trip.

Do I detect bitterness?

Seriously, you don't know my situation, and I'm sorry if you've been hurt by a girl in the past. I'm not worried. And if something does happen it will be worth it, so bugger off. :p

lol no i wasn't hurt, but i was whipped and once you become 'it' your done... i am just mad at the time i wasted being so into someone and taking to much time to be with them when in the end it won't really matter cuz your friends are 1000x more important. I am just giving a word of advice, and that is being whipped is probaly the worst thing you can do, while its fine at first it becomes not fine... fast...

I'm a Rebel.

I don't follow anyone elses rules.

Don't need to follow some girlfriend's rules.

Don't follow anybodies rules.

Not even my own.

how many times are you hanging out with one of your friends then one disappears on the phone to convince his gf hes being good and w/e... it happens all the time and its all pointless... until the girl is more mature and can handle things like girls being around their guy and crap **** em... cuz all they do is bring stress

Meh, I don't do cross country. Once traveled from Weatherford, Texas to my house within a half hour. The drive is usually an hour. I was doing triple digits down the freeway because I knew there never any cops on that stretch. Ever.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.
