I just got back from a weekend at my girlfriend's house, and I made excellent time on the drive home. This prompted me to wonder, what's the best time anyone here has ever gotten on a trip, compared to what would be considered average? (good way to determine average is to check http://maps.yahoo.com )

I have this trip home, and a previous trip.
from Lake Stevens, WA to Spokane Valley, WA:
Driving distance: 315 miles
Total projected time: 5 hours, 15 minutes
Actual time: 3 hours, 30 minutes
actual time/projected time ratio: 67% (this is the best way to compare different trips (actual time / projected time) The lower the # the faster)
Average speed (based on driving distance and actual time): 90 mph (distance / time (in minutes) x 60)
from my home in Spokane Valley, WA to Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA:
Driving distance: 30 miles
Total projected time: 45 minutes
Actual time: 23 minutes
actual time/projected time ratio: 51%
Average speed: 78 mph

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
