Live action? Interesting... I hope they can pull it off; it's not easy taking a half-hour show and turning it into an hour-and-a-half movie.

The simpsons movie HAS to be animated.... live action/CG will completely ruin it. (Remember the garfield movie? *shudders* )

If they do it CG, they HAVE to let Industrial Light and Magic do it. I don't care what anyone says about the Star Wars movies/GL, but his special effects are the most realistic looking ones out there...

You wouldn't want realistic effects for this kind of movie anyway. It's a cartoon, even if it is in CG. Besides, Weta kicks ILM's ***.

By completely redesigning the characters and remaining unfaithful to the source material... duh!

Just let the Simpsons die for Christ's sake... it's bad enough with the ****ty episodes they've been churning out for the last few years...

South Park and Family Guy are SOOO much better, especially the latest episodes.

but if the simpsons movie was animated, it would probablys feel like an extended episode.

if it wasnt animated, it would be weird to accept as the simpsons and just feel like something totally unrelated.

Live action? Instant failure. It just doesn't seem possible. None of the characters will be reconizable, not to mention the crazy colour scheme of the Simpsons like Purple walls, etc.

The entire thing will have to be lip-synced to the voice actors, because none of them can play any of the characters they voice.

they'll just do soemthing like the flinstones movie that came out a long time ago... it's possible to make the characers reconizable...

Homer is bald... Bart has spiked hair, lisa also seems to have spiked hair, marge will most likly have a bee-hive type hair-do but maybe exagerated and larger...

this is giving me conflicting thoughts.. while making it animated would seem right, it would feel like just another movie, if it's live action it'll most likly suck and not have the same feel the show did...

but I'll wait until they show production pictures or relase a trailer or something... if anything it might be a goo rental.

I thought about it a little, a live-action movie could work. he Flinstones one wasn't terrible, I think. The problem is everyone is talking about lip syncing with the voice actors and how that would suck. Well, they wouldn't do it. They'd get a cast together and they would make a movie based on the simpson's cartoon. The hard part would be finding an interesting plot that hasn't been done yet or doesn't suck like the last 3 or 4 years have.

Maybe they should just do a movie based on the Scorpio episode. I love that episode. We need someone bald to play Homer...God, I hope they don't pick Vin Diesel.
